These are some of the images taken as part of a case study of a bespoke staircase and balcony manufactured by British Spirals & Castings based in Derbyshire and installed in Portland House, a 4 Storey Grade II* Townhouse in Aberaeron incorporating a Holiday Apartment called Glenara. The commission was through Smith Goodfellow. The brief included landscape and portrait architectural photography of the staircase and balcony, from details through to the external building and location. This was to include:
- Spiral staircase with wavy spindles and wave pattern panels
- Marine grade powder coating/paintwork in vintage green
- Details such as joints, fixings, angles, support poles/posts, decorative elements
- Products in context, to capture the historic building at a seaside location
Being Nov it was getting difficult to find the right day with the right light, and luckily a day presented itself in early Dec. Here are a few of the images from the shoot.
